A Decade Later

So I've never really used DW. I was an avid Livejournal user like 10 years ago. I made lots of awesome friends and thoroughly enjoyed living in my little fandom bubble. Making art, vids, fanfic, etc for my favourite films and TV shows was the highlight of most of my evenings as a bored, introverted teenager.
Even at university when things started slowing down a little on LJ, I spent a heck of a lot of time on Tumblr, making art and fic to post on there. I didn't get a huge following but I did make a few cool friends and had a blast seeing the beautiful art for my fandoms.
Then I graduated, I started work, started dating, had a couple or break ups, moved out on my own and just got a completely new lifestyle. I only had the motivation to look at social media, mainly facebook, which is both a blessing and a curse imo. We all know how toxic social media can be! Anyway here I am a decade later and my last vid was nearly 2 years ago. I barely touch photoshop. I have dipped in and out of a Terra Nova fic I've been trying to write for several years! The thing is I find it hard to get into fandom now, to get creative which often makes me a bit depressed! I miss fandom. I miss loving a show so much I become obsessed with that world. I still watch a LOT of TV but don't get into it as much as I used to. I used to get so inspired, my creativity would just kick in randomly. But now with the pressures of RL and maybe being older and more boring it's just not as easy as it used to be!
Hence here I am...I have started using Tumblr again but it is a ton slower than it used to be. I remember when it would take me all day to look through all the awesome posts. LJ is even worse as it seems almost a ghost town since a lot of my friends and journals have just become inactive. It's so sad. The hideous ads don't help either. It's just not nice to look at anymore. So I thought I'd give DW a go. If you're reading this, thank you and if you think we would get on, please add me! I'd love to get more active on here and start making fandom friends again. Also, if you think there are any journals I would enjoy please suggest them to me.
Anyway this is where I am a decade later. I know fandom won't be the same as when I was 17, but hopefully there's some fun still to be have!
